About Us
Wenjikwom Housing Commission Society was formed by the Native Council of Nova Scotia in 2007 to be an instrumental tool in delivering housing services for Indigenous peoples continuing to reside on Mi'kmaq Traditional Ancestral Homelands of Mi'kma'ki.Â

Through Indigenous leadership and community partnerships, we strive to create housing opportunities that empower off-reserve Indigenous community members.Â
Our Mission

Wenjikwom Housing Commission Society's mission is to assist off-reserve Aboriginal Peoples residing on Mi'kmaq Traditional Ancestral Homeland Territory in Mi'kma'ki by increasing investment in and access to adequate and affordable housing.Â
