Our housing developments are intended for Indigenous individuals and families living off-reserve in Nova Scotia. Eligibility requirements and application information are available by contacting our office.
What types of homes can I apply for?
We are currently accepting applications for modern 2 and 3 bedroom duplex units in North River, Colchester County.Â
Are units currently available?
We currently still have new units available for immediate occupancy but they are filling up quickly. A waiting list will be available for eligible applicants once when available units are filled.Â
Are the homes accessible?
Wenjikwom Housing Commission Society strives to provide housing that meets diverse community needs. Our new units in North River are built to be easily accessible with open concept floor plans. Contact us if you have questions regarding your accessibility needs.
Can I apply if I currently live outside of the community?
Yes. Applications are accepted from eligible Indigenous individuals and families living throughout Nova Scotia.
How do I apply?
Applications can be downloaded and emailed to housingadmintruro@ncns.ca once they are completed. Please ensure entire application is filled out prior to submitting.
